Saved by a Crow!!

Working in Leasgill this morning, in the field next to where i was working there was a lod comotion which resulted in a female Sparrowhawk catching a Green woodpecker and forcing it to the ground with out-streched wings. A Carrion crow flew in and mobbed the Sprawk, ableing the Green woodpecker to have a very lucky escape, chased immediately by the Sparrowhawk, but able to thwart the 2nd attempt. 10 mins later the Sparrowhawk flew through the garden and picked off a Coal tit at nxt door neighbours bird table. c.100 Redwings over along with about 55 Fieldfares.
