Waxwings!!!

Saturday mornings birding comprised of nothing more than the search for Waxwings in Kendal. The majority of the northern and eastern parts of the UK are enjoying good numbers of this scandanavian gem. I trauled round all the estates and likely places and drew a blank. Finally after a few hours and on the verge of giving up searching and thinking would Kendal ever get any birds. I stummbled across 12 flycathing from the tree tops in Abbot hall park, they were a bit mobile but i got good views of these classy winter migrants. Lishers
